Why Rajeev Thakkar’s current strategy favours large-cap stocks
PPFAS Mutual Fund's CIO, Rajeev Thakkar, advises avoiding mid- and small-cap stocks due to unattractive valuations. His portfolio has a large concentration in PPFAS MF, with 66% in unlisted shares and 33% in its flagship scheme. Thakkar's advice to investors is to keep modest expectations and not to tinker with investments that could lead to tax leakages. He also suggests maintaining a stable asset allocation and letting investments compound over time. Thakkar's asset allocation has remained largely the same over the last year, except for reducing debt exposure to 2%. He has no plans to invest in real estate, but Reits seem interesting.
